Kyle Rigney

Instructor

Kyle first embarked on his Arakan journey in late 2021. Introduced to the art by a close friend, he was immediately captivated by its practicality, effectiveness, and life-transforming potential. Beyond mastering self-defense techniques, Arakan provided him with invaluable skills to confidently navigate challenging situations.

He decided to learn Arakan because he had been in situations that he didn't know how to handle or had no control over. He wanted to be prepared and have the tools to protect himself if something went wrong.

Arakan also helped boost his confidence. The more he trained, the more confident he became in both martial arts and everyday situations.
When he started Arakan, he was overweight and unfit. This motivated him to become the best version of himself. He lost over 30kg and became the fittest he has ever been, realising the importance of physical exercise in their daily life.

His biggest achievements in Arakan include earning his yellow belt in 2023, being named Student of the Year in the same year, and becoming an Arakan Martial Arts Instructor in 2024.

Kyle is passionate about Arakan and wants to help others discover their potential. He aims to inspire and guide students to achieve their goals and become the best versions of themselves through Arakan.

Arakan has helped Talia immensely.

It has given her discipline, greater confidence, focus and self-esteem. She now has greater awareness of bullies at her school and is assertive when required.

It has been the best activity that I have invested in for my child.
